Free dental treatment for Mongolian Children
The cost of dental check-ups and the treatment of Mongolian children aged between 2 to 12 will be funded by a National Programme, announced the Mongolian Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
“Tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic disease among Mongolian children,’’ said the ministry in a statement, quoting worrying numbers.
The statement shows that 80 to 90 percent of Mongolian children aged between 2 to 12 suffer from dental decay, forcing the government to start a national “Healthy Teeth and Healthy Children’’ programme to address the problem.
